Roof styles include low, medium or high to accommodate the tallest of occupants. The versatile Transit is the ideal vehicle for large families or organizations who need to accommodate seven to 15 passengers.
Base wagons come with a six-cylinder 3.5-liter engine that generates up to 275 horsepower. For more power, choose a model equipped with the 3.5-liter turbocharged version that puts out up to 310 horsepower. There is also a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. All of the motors work with 10-speed automatic transmissions.
Depending on the size of the engine chosen, the Transit tows up to 7,500 pounds. The interior also carries up to 4,530 pounds of passengers and cargo. The extended models boasts 100.5 cubic feet of storage space.
