
An Overview of the New Ford F-150
The Ford F-150 is one of the most popular light-duty pickup trucks for a variety of reasons. Offering seven different trim levels for customers to choose between, the Ford F-150 lineup has been enhanced for the new model year. The new Bed Utility Package that is available for most of the F-150 lineup, for example, equips the truck with a tailgate step and advanced tie-downs.
Towing and Hauling
The new Ford F-150 can tow up to 8,200 pounds in its base configuration. However, the new F-150 can tow as much as 14,000 pounds when it is sufficiently equipped. The F-150 can also haul up to 1,840 pounds in its standard configuration, but the payload capacity of the truck maxes out at 3,250 pounds.
Off-Road Features
The Ford F-150 can do more than travel on paved roads. The new FX4 Off-Road Package that is available for the F-150 adds a multitude of off-road features to the truck, like an electronic-locking rear differential and a set of off-road shock absorbers.
